Terms of Use

1. Purpose and Definitions

  • The Team Up platform (hereinafter "the Platform") is operated by Team Up, 82 B rue de roclincourt, 62223 Ecurie, France — email: hello@teamup.app.
  • Platform: the Team Up mobile application and website enabling connections between Participants and Coaches/Pros.
  • Coach / Pro: any user who has subscribed to a verified professional account and offers paid Pro Sessions.
  • Participant: any registered user joining a session, free or paid.
  • Free community session: a session organised between Participants at no charge.
  • Paid pro session: a session led by a Pro Coach, bookable for a fee through the Platform.

2. Role of Team Up — Intermediary Clause

Team Up acts exclusively as a technical intermediary facilitating connections between users. Team Up IS NOT a party to any contract concluded between a Coach and a Participant. Team Up bears no responsibility for the performance, quality, safety, content, or any damages arising from Sessions organised via the Platform. Contractual relationships resulting from a booking or participation are established directly and exclusively between the Coach/organiser and the Participant.

3. Access Conditions

Use of the Platform is strictly reserved for individuals aged 18 and over. Registration by minors is prohibited. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Team Up reserves the right to immediately delete any account where the holder is found to be a minor.

4. Obligations of Pro Coaches

  • Hold a valid professional sports educator card, in accordance with Article L212-1 of the French Sports Code.
  • Hold a valid professional liability insurance (RC Pro) certificate covering supervised sessions.
  • Provide these documents when applying for the "verified pro badge". The badge is awarded after manual verification by the Team Up team.
  • Comply with applicable regulations (activity registration, tax and social obligations, etc.).
  • Not offer sessions for which they do not hold the required qualifications.

5. Obligations of Participants

  • Provide accurate information when registering and keep their profile up to date.
  • Respect other community members and behave in a sportsmanlike and considerate manner.
  • Not impersonate a third party or create fake profiles.
  • Report any inappropriate behaviour using the in-app reporting feature.
  • Review the session conditions (required level, equipment, location) before signing up.

6. Liability Waiver — Sports Practice

Participating in sporting activities carries inherent risks. By participating in any session via the Platform, each Participant acknowledges practising the activity at their own risk. Team Up strongly recommends that each Participant take out individual insurance covering personal accidents related to sports practice. Team Up cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, material damage or other harm occurring during a session.

7. Intellectual Property and User Content

  • Team Up holds all intellectual property rights over the Platform (code, design, brand, logo).
  • By publishing content (photos, descriptions, etc.) on the Platform, you grant Team Up a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display such content in the context of the service.
  • You retain ownership of your content and warrant that you hold all necessary rights to publish it.
  • Any unlawful, offensive, misleading content or content infringing third-party rights is prohibited and will be removed.

8. Moderation and DSA Compliance

  • Team Up moderates reported content within 5 business days.
  • To report illegal content or inappropriate behaviour: hello@teamup.app (subject: "DSA Report").
  • In accordance with the Digital Services Act (DSA — EU Regulation 2022/2065), Team Up is committed to handling reports transparently and notifying users of decisions taken.
  • Where content or an account is suspended, the affected user will be notified with the reasons.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

  • Team Up may suspend or terminate any account in the event of a breach of these Terms, fraudulent behaviour, or endangering other users.
  • Any user may delete their account at any time from the app settings. Personal data is deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
  • In the event of suspension, the user may submit a complaint to hello@teamup.app.

10. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to find an amicable resolution. Failing that, the competent French courts will have jurisdiction. Under Article L. 616-1 of the French Consumer Code, any consumer has the right to use a free consumer mediator. You may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

11. Amendments

Team Up reserves the right to amend these Terms. Users will be informed of any material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
